The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
Welcome Offer
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before funding.
